Energetically Speaking, Earth Is Us

It is time we understood this and paid attention

Energetically speaking, Earth is us. Should I not have written it like this: Energetically speaking, we are Earth. Perhaps we think in terms of being part of the larger whole, these divided fractions of Earth, so it stands to reason that when we think of ourselves we see ourselves as a part of Earth. And we understand our relationship to Earth. We are her stewards, her veins.

Can we take a moment, though, to consider how Earth might see us? If Earth had eyes what would she see? Would she see the blood within our veins spill out upon her soil? Would she see our tears? Would she take this blood, these tears, and absorb our sorrow? Would she become us?

Energetically speaking, Earth is us. She takes our blood and nourishes her soil with the weight of our grief.

We are Earth. Earth is us. There is a symbiotic relationship here that no one talks about. Sure, we see the love we pour onto the planet. We see and feel the grief. But when do we stop and consider Earth as a living body of light, as having anthropomorphic properties of sorrow? We don’t. Should we? Can my sorrow become embedded into the stem cells of others? Can these stem cells evolve with grief? What will Earth become?

Will Earth take my grief and dissolve this grief as her own? Or will the weight of this grief become too much to bear?

Mothers take our grief and hold us in their embrace.

Mothers falter.
