I’m a self published author… and although you speak from the heart… you stab at the heart of those of us who are doing our best to publish beautiful books and price ourselves competitively. I make $1.68 per copy on the print on demand platform Ingram Spark. I love that I have a way to self publish easily and make beautiful books but I’m locked into their price points. I went as low as I could reasonably go but I think I’m worth at least $1.68. I’ll never make money this way. I know this. It’s important to me that I write and publish so I’ll forfeit money but please know we don’t control the pricing . Everything is a business. Absolutely everything. And I’m just the cog in someone else’s money making wheel!
