I’m a self published author with my third book coming out this spring. The three most important steps you will need to take at this stage are:1) look at today. Not tomorrow. What about today makes you believe in yourself as a published writer. 2) if you visualize the manuscript as a published book visualize it complete. Pay attention to the details of the book. What it looks like what it feels like and how it makes you feel. 3) if you can still feel it as an actual book and not a pipe dream focus on one task. “Getting an editor” is too broad. Too unknown. Instead call a friend and ask them to help you think of places you can go like a coffee shop or a community college where you can put up a sign on a board saying that you’re looking for an editor. Taking a friend along on this part of the journey is better then going alone. You’ve spent too much time alone writing it! Best of luck to you! Take small steps. We can’t put up hotels on Park Place until we acquire the property and go around the board a few times acquiring the resources and knowledge to do so. That’s a silly metaphor I tell myself all the time!
