I’m shocked that too many of our family members don’t buy our books. I hear this from many authors.. myself included. I know my family supports me but they don’t see me as a writer. I’m a daughter sister cousin aunt. Authors, to them, are important people …and although I’m important to them I’m important as a member of a family. I don’t understand this phenomenon but it’s very real.
